Resurgence Day set for May 23 to boost Battlefront 2 players

Fans and the Kyber mod team have organized ‘Resurgence Day’ for Star Wars Battlefront 2 on May 23, 2026. The campaign asks players on PC and Xbox to sign in and play multiplayer matches to raise visible player numbers.

The effort is led by the Kyber PC modding community with support from players on other platforms. There are no formal rules or scheduled match times; participants are asked to simply log in and play on the designated day.

Organizers aim to repeat a spike from May 2025 when the game reached about 160,000 concurrent players on Steam. Past community-driven days produced measurable spikes on public player charts.

Battlefront 2 launched in 2016 and was declared complete by its developer in April 2020, meaning no further official content updates are planned. Modders and recurring community events have kept the game active.

The Kyber mod team provides additions and maintenance for the PC version. The event will include Xbox players as well as PC users.

Battlefront 2 is available on PC through Steam and via EA Play on PC Game Pass, and on Xbox through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Subscribers can play without a separate purchase. The Xbox Store lists the game at £4.99 / $4.99.
