RuneScape’s Dragonwilds arrives on Xbox Sept. 15, 2026

Jagex will release the Dragonwilds expansion for RuneScape on Xbox worldwide on Sept. 15, 2026. The update will appear on the Xbox digital storefront and will install as a standard update for players who already have RuneScape on Xbox consoles. Jagex confirmed the launch date and platform in its announcement.

Dragonwilds adds a new region, activities and challenges to the game’s live world. Jagex described the package as a substantial content update and part of the game’s update roadmap.

The studio plans a simultaneous global rollout so players in all regions can access the expansion at the same time. The initial announcement did not list file size or specific system requirements for Xbox consoles.

Jagex plans to publish patch notes, technical details and developer commentary on its official channels ahead of the Sept. 15 release. The company also did not specify any platform-exclusive features or timed bonuses in the first announcement.

RuneScape launched in 2001 and has received regular expansions, seasonal updates and ongoing support from Jagex. Dragonwilds is the latest named content package; further specifics, including full content lists and any platform-exclusive mechanics, will be released by Jagex before the launch.
