Samson, a GTA-style action game, launches on PS5
Samson, a GTA-style action-adventure set in Tyndalston, is now on the PlayStation Store for PS5; it previously launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Liquid Sword published Samson, which is available now on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5. The game previously launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The story follows Samson returning to his hometown of Tyndalston while carrying a debt that grows over time. Players must meet a daily payment quota; missed quotas increase the debt through rising interest. Rival factions use the debt to pressure Samson, including attacks that target his sister.
Gameplay combines open-world exploration with focused combat and movement across alleys, rooftops and indoor areas. The city layout influences fights and escapes, requiring players to use the environment during confrontations and pursuits.
Samson uses an Action Point System that lets players spend limited funds to unlock and upgrade skills. Upgrades on the skill tree are permanent and change how missions play out, forcing players to decide between buying abilities and keeping cash to meet daily payments.
Law enforcement reacts to player behavior; heavy-handed actions can draw police attention and affect how debt collection and faction conflicts proceed. Vehicles are available across the map and are usable in combat and chases as well as for travel.
According to the game’s official description: “Every clash matters. Every hit is meant to break or be broken. You cut through alleys, rooftops, and backroom dens designed to keep you moving, not sightseeing. Tyndalston shapes how you fight, climb, corner, and vanish.”
The game links mission pressure to a financial clock and keeps permanent progression choices that alter how each campaign unfolds. Samson is available now on PS5 via the PlayStation Store.
