Housemarque released a free update for the PS5 exclusive action game Saros this week that adds a full Photo Mode and nine new trophies tied to using the feature. The update is available in-game at no extra cost to players on PS5.
The Photo Mode lets players pause gameplay to compose and capture scenes from Carcosa. Users can show or hide HUD elements while framing shots. Camera options include field of view and depth of field adjustments. A dedicated lighting setup controls character illumination. Image tools provide color and image adjustments, image-enhancing effects, and decorative options such as frames and logos.
Nine new trophies have been added and are unlocked by completing challenges that require using Photo Mode across Carcosa. The trophies are themed around photographic tasks that involve composition, filters and lighting choices.
The patch also fixes level design issues by resolving collision and geometry problems across multiple biomes. Performance improvements were applied to boss cinematics. The update notes list various minor bug fixes, improvements and optimizations aimed at smoothing gameplay and visuals.
Saros launched as a PS5 exclusive action title. The Photo Mode update is live now for all PS5 players and does not require an additional purchase.
