Sega Confirms Revivals: Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio

Sega Sammy’s fiscal-year presentation confirms revivals for Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and a new Virtua Fighter project; dates are pending.

Sega Sammy’s slide presentation for the fiscal year ended March 2026 lists planned revivals for several legacy franchises and a separate new Virtua Fighter project. The slides were published with the company’s fiscal results.

The presentation names Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage as having “upcoming plans.” It identifies a separate entry as the “New” Virtua Fighter Project. The company did not provide full official titles or firm release dates for those entries.

The roadmap shown in the materials includes additional game projects. A Persona 4 revival and a version of Alien: Isolation are on the list, along with two new Total War announcements. Stranger Than Heaven is given a release window of this winter, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is scheduled for March 2027 in the slides.

Sega Sammy’s financial materials also detail film and animation projects tied to its brands. Planned adaptations listed in the presentation include Golden Axe, Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Eternal Champions, The House of the Dead and OutRun.

The presentation follows an earlier decision to cancel an internal project referred to as the “Super Game.” Despite that cancellation, the company has continued releasing and previewing smaller-scale entries: it recently released a new Shinobi title on Nintendo Switch and has shown an early look at a Jet Set Radio revival.

The fiscal presentation does not include platforms, developer credits or detailed production schedules for many of the listed projects. The company’s financial materials state that further announcements are planned and that specific titles and release dates will be revealed at a later time.
