Sega dates PS5 action RPG Stupid Never Dies for Oct. 21, 2026

Sega will publish the PlayStation 5 action role-playing game Stupid Never Dies on October 21, 2026. The standard edition is priced at $49.99 and the Glorious Idiot Edition at $59.99. Sega will handle worldwide distribution for the PS5-exclusive release. The game was developed by GPTACK50, a studio formed by former Capcom developers, and was first revealed at The Game Awards 2025. The Glorious Idiot Edition includes the base game and the TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload DLC Pack, which adds five cosmetic and audio items. Chirp Chirp changes footstep sounds when Davy is in Zombie Style and provides a home music track remix. Festival swaps hit sound effects during the Davy Burst mechanic and adds a Davy Burst background music remix. Romantic replaces the Davy Burst background music with the game’s main theme and adds new visual effects for the Davy Burst. Splash adds new level-up effects and a “Hurry Up” music track remix.

Sega’s announcement describes monster-focused dungeon runs and highlights Davy’s combat abilities, including the Davy Burst special attack. The publisher did not provide details on progression systems, multiplayer options, endgame content, or difficulty settings. Sega also did not specify pre-order windows, regional availability, physical collector editions beyond the Glorious Idiot Edition, or a post-launch content roadmap beyond the included DLC pack.
