SEGA launches SEGA Music with two-disc Sonic 35th album
SEGA will release Forever Fast, a two-disc Sonic 35th anniversary album and the first under SEGA Music, in Japan on June 24. It includes a newly recorded version of Escape From The City featuring Nathan Sharp.
SEGA has launched a new label, SEGA Music, and will issue its first release, Forever Fast – 35th Anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog. The two-disc compilation is scheduled for release in Japan on June 24.
Forever Fast collects 22 vocal themes from the Sonic franchise, with material drawn from Sonic Adventure through Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The package features a newly recorded version of “Escape From The City” with vocalist Nathan Sharp.
The physical two-disc set will be sold in Japan for 3,500 yen. A digital release is planned for June 25.
SEGA said the album focuses on vocal tracks rather than instrumental scores and did not release a full public track list with the announcement. The two-disc format suggests the songs are grouped by era or theme.
The album is part of activities tied to Sonic the Hedgehog’s 35th anniversary. SEGA has limited details to the Japanese market so far and has not provided additional regional release dates or special editions.
