Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Heads to Switch 2 Sept. 24, 2026

Sega will release Shinobi: Art of Vengeance on Nintendo Switch 2 on Sept. 24, 2026, with updated resolution. Deluxe Edition pre-orders are open and include the Sega Villains Stage DLC and bonus digital items.

Sega announced that Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24, 2026, with an updated resolution for the new hardware.

Pre-orders for a Deluxe Edition are available now through Sega and participating retailers. The Deluxe Edition includes the Sega Villains Stage DLC, a ghost outfit, the original arcade outfit, a medic lite amulet, a fortune hunter amulet, 2,000 gold, a digital art book and the game soundtrack.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance first released on the Nintendo Switch in August 2025. Sega issued a resolution update for the Switch version in September 2025 and later released the Sega Villains Stage expansion for that edition.

The game follows series protagonist Joe Musashi in a side-scrolling action format. The Villains Stage DLC adds new bosses and stages to those encounters.

Sega has not provided additional technical details for the Switch 2 release beyond the updated resolution and the Deluxe Edition contents, including information on frame rate targets or other system-specific features.
