Silent Hill: Townfall PS5 Pro trailer highlights visuals

Konami released a PS5 Pro gameplay trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, confirming its Sept. 24, 2026 release on PC and PlayStation 5 and showing first-person gameplay in St. Amelia.

Konami released several minutes of Silent Hill: Townfall gameplay captured on a PlayStation 5 Pro, confirming the game will launch Sept. 24, 2026 on PC and PlayStation 5. The footage presents a first-person view of exploration, combat and transitions into a red-hued Otherworld, with the series’ signature fog and atmospheric lighting on display.

The trailer follows protagonist Simon Ordell as he wakes in St. Amelia, Scotland, in 1996. Ordell carries a handheld CRTV device that the footage shows being used to gather clues about the town and his past. The device detects nearby threats and factors into puzzle solving.

Gameplay segments show players managing limited resources while navigating mist-choked streets, using stealth to avoid monsters and engaging in brief melee encounters. The Otherworld sequences present St. Amelia under a constant red glow and increased visual menace.

The game is being developed by Screen Burn Interactive, the studio behind Stories Untold and Observation. Townfall is presented from a first-person perspective, a change from the mainline Silent Hill entries that traditionally used third-person viewpoints. The only other recent first-person Silent Hill release was a short free title released two years ago.

Silent Hill: Townfall follows last year’s Silent Hill f, the first new numbered installment in more than a decade, and the 2024 remake of Silent Hill 2 that preceded the series’ recent annual releases. The game’s release is scheduled a few months after a feature film adaptation of Silent Hill 2 opened to negative reviews.

Konami’s PS5 Pro capture emphasizes lighting and particle effects, including dense mist and reflective surfaces alongside the Otherworld’s red tint. The trailer highlights stealth navigation, resource tracking and the CRTV’s dual role as a story and gameplay tool. Konami has not announced additional platforms, special editions or pre-order incentives.
