Six NES and SNES Jaleco sports games hit PS5 Store

Rock It Games has released Jaleco Sports Faceoffs on the PlayStation Store for PS5. The collection is priced at $9.99 and is discounted to $7.99 during the first two weeks. It bundles six sports titles originally released for the NES and SNES.

The package groups three Jaleco franchises-hockey, basketball and tennis-each included in both NES and SNES forms. The collection contains Pro Sport Hockey (NES, 1993) and USA Ice Hockey (SNES, 1994); Hoops and Moero!! Junior Basket – Two on Two (NES, 1988–1989); and Racket Attack and Moero!! Pro Tennis (NES, 1988–1994).

Each game includes digitized original manuals, a VHS-style rewind feature to replay recent moments, a CRT filter and multiple retro display options. Users can switch between NES and SNES versions at any time, including regional variants. Monthly online leaderboards are available for competitive scoring.

The hockey pair provides a simulation-style mode with slap shots, passes, body checks and penalties. The mode features a league of 24 teams, an 84-game regular season, playoffs and cup finals. Line creation and adjustments are supported for scoring, checking and power-play situations. Match options include single-player vs. CPU, two-player head-to-head and computer vs. computer.

The basketball titles offer half-court, arcade-focused play with blocked shots, steals, passing and drives to the basket. They include eight characters with different strengths and weaknesses, one-on-one or two-on-two matchups across two courts, and support solo play or local multiplayer.

The tennis games emphasize lobs, volleys and slices with rosters of eight men and eight women, each with unique attributes. Tournament mode requires seven match wins to claim the championship trophy. A two-player exhibition option and multiple court surfaces are available.

Jaleco Sports Faceoffs is available now on the PlayStation Store for PS5 at the listed price, with the launch discount active for two weeks. The collection preserves original gameplay while adding modern presentation options and online competition features.
