Smalland 2: Lost Realms coming to Switch 2 with 10-player co-op
Maximum Entertainment announced Smalland 2: Lost Realms, a prequel arriving on Switch 2 in 2027 with up to 10-player co-op; the Switch 2 release will follow other platform launches.
Maximum Entertainment announced Smalland 2: Lost Realms, a prequel to its open-world survival game. The developer plans a Switch 2 release in 2027; the Switch 2 version will arrive after launches on other platforms. The title will support cooperative play for up to 10 players.
Smalland 2 is set in a time before the Giants and casts players as members of the Smallfolk. Players will explore the Lost Realms to find ancient sites and confront a prophecy that threatens the world’s future.
The developer describes the game as a larger-scale open-world survival adventure that expands the original setting and systems. Players will travel across regions with distinct cultures, resources and hazards. Solo players and groups can build outposts, establish trade routes and create networks to support their communities.
Gameplay updates include a new crafting system and added mechanics for water traversal and climbing. Progression systems will be deeper than in the original, and players can form bonds with creatures encountered in the world. The game will feature improved visuals and enhanced environmental effects.
Smalland: Survive the Wilds, the previous release in the series, launched on Switch 2 last month. Maximum Entertainment has published a reveal trailer for Smalland 2 and plans to share more details ahead of the wider launch.
