Snoop Dogg, Ado Perform Theme for PS5 Game Stranger Than Heaven
Snoop Dogg and Japanese pop star Ado performed the theme for SEGA’s PS5 game Stranger Than Heaven at last night’s reveal; Ado voices Keiko Shirai and Snoop appears as smuggler Orpheus.
Snoop Dogg and Japanese singer Ado performed the theme song for SEGA’s PlayStation 5 title Stranger Than Heaven during the game’s reveal. The performance also included Satoshi Fujihara and Tori Kelly. Ado will voice the character Keiko Shirai, and Snoop Dogg will appear in the game as a smuggler named Orpheus.
The reveal took place during a major game showcase where SEGA and developer RRG Studio introduced the title and its creative collaborators. The theme song was presented as a central element of the presentation and highlighted the involvement of international music artists on the PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Ado is credited with both singing on the theme and providing Keiko’s voice. The singer is known in Japan for performing behind an anime-style avatar. RRG Studio said the in-game model for Keiko was created for Stranger Than Heaven and is not based on Ado’s real-life appearance. The studio added that this is Ado’s first credited voice acting role in an interactive title.
Snoop Dogg will play Orpheus, identified in the announcement as a smuggler in the game’s story. He has appeared in other video games, including a role in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
SEGA has not announced when the theme will be released for streaming or digital purchase. Stranger Than Heaven is confirmed as a PlayStation 5 exclusive scheduled for a winter release window; no firm launch date has been provided.
RRG Studio said the character design and the musical collaborations were part of the game’s creative presentation. Further details on the full voice cast, soundtrack availability and a specific release date have not been released.
