Soccer Kid Collection arrives June 18 on PS5 and PS4
Soccer Kid Collection launches June 18, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, bundling the original Super NES and MS-DOS versions and releasing on Xbox, Switch and PC.
QUByte Classics will release Soccer Kid Collection on June 18, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, with versions planned for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. The compilation includes the original Super Nintendo Entertainment System and MS-DOS builds of Soccer Kid, a 16-bit platformer first released in 1993.
Players control Soccer Kid as he travels from the streets of England to locations around the world to recover a shattered World Cup trophy. Gameplay centers on using a soccer ball-headers, volleys and bicycle kicks-to clear obstacles and defeat enemies. The title debuted on Amiga and Super NES in 1993 and was later ported to Game Boy Advance in 2002 and PlayStation in 2003.
The collection preserves both the Super NES and MS-DOS builds in a single release and includes modern features such as save states that allow progress to be saved at any point, CRT filters and multiple screen aspect ratios for display options. A digital gallery collects original box art, manuals and vintage advertisements tied to the game’s history.
QUByte Classics packaged both versions so players can compare visual and gameplay differences between the Super NES and MS-DOS releases. In its announcement, the publisher wrote, “Step into the shoes of Soccer Kid, a young hero on a global quest to recover the shattered World Cup trophy. Travel from the streets of England to the far corners of the globe in this unique 16-bit platformer where your soccer ball is the key to survival.”
Soccer Kid Collection will be available on June 18, 2026 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
