Sombras: Negative Frames launches Dec. 3, 2026

Publisher Entalto announced that Sombras: Negative Frames will release on Dec. 3, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

The game is an adventure built around a photography mechanic, narrative exploration and light horror elements. Players use a camera to interact with the environment and document unusual sights.

Sombras follows Shiomi Alterio, a Japanese-Spanish photography student who returns to Japan after her parents’ divorce. One night she becomes trapped in a shadowed dimension made of familiar streets, hungry shadows and multiple girls who resemble her. Players must photograph scenes, survive unsettling encounters and gather fragments of Shiomi’s identity to help her find a way home.

Maboroshi Artworks described the title as a nostalgic narrative game that uses photography to examine youth, art and family. Sombras is the studio’s second release after Last Time I Saw You. Entalto will publish across current-generation consoles and PC; a PlayStation Store page was not live at the time of the announcement. A developer trailer is available.
