Sonic Frontiers Steam Price Cut Follows ‘Definite Edition’ Filings
SEGA updated Sonic Frontiers’ Steam page with a revised description and a permanent price reduction after a Korea rating and a Japan trademark used the name ‘Definite Edition’.
SEGA updated Sonic Frontiers’ Steam product page with a new description and lowered the game’s price on Steam, showing the reduced amount as the current standard price on the storefront. The change appeared without an accompanying announcement from SEGA.
A recent Korean age-rating entry lists a version called “Sonic Frontiers Definite Edition.” Separately, SEGA filed a trademark for Sonic Frontiers in Japan. Those filings and the Steam page update all appeared publicly before any formal statement from SEGA.
On Steam, the updated description does not list new downloadable content or additional platform details. The store entry remains under the existing Sonic Frontiers product page rather than as a separate listing for a new edition. The Steam price reduction is presented as permanent on the storefront rather than as a time-limited discount.
SEGA has not confirmed a Definitive or Definite Edition, disclosed what a re-release might include, or provided a release window or new pricing schedule. Players viewing the Steam page will see the lower price reflected as the game’s current price on that platform.
SEGA and Sonic Team previously said they were working on a new Sonic project. The Korean age-rating name, the Japanese trademark filing, and the Steam changes are the publicly available records referring to the “Definite Edition” name.
