Sony to Remove 2016 PS4 Indigo Prophecy From PS Store

Sony will delist the 2016 PS4 port of Indigo Prophecy on July 21, when a new PS5/PS4 edition joins PS Plus Premium and appears on the PlayStation Store.

Sony announced it will remove the 2016 PS4 port of Quantic Dream’s Indigo Prophecy from the PlayStation Store on July 21. On the same date a new PS5/PS4 edition will be added to PS Plus Premium as an emulated PS2 classic and offered for standalone purchase.

The incoming edition will be listed under the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog as an emulated PS2 title. When the new release appears on July 21, the existing 2016 PS4 port will be delisted and removed from sale on the PlayStation Store.

The 2016 PS4 version is currently priced at $14.99. Sony has not published pricing for the new edition. The company also has not provided full technical details, including whether the new release will retain the same trophy set or what enhancements it will include.

Sony has not confirmed how saves or upgrades will transfer between versions. Owners of the 2016 PS4 port should check their account library after the new edition launches for any automatic upgrade or download options; previous PlayStation updates have sometimes allowed free native PS5 downloads for existing owners.

Indigo Prophecy was originally released on PS2 and received a PS4 port in 2016. Sony has removed earlier ports in the past when newer or revised versions were added to the PlayStation Store.

Players who wish to purchase or keep the 2016 PS4 version should plan for its delisting on July 21 and verify available options on the PlayStation Store and in their PS Plus Premium catalog after the new edition becomes available.
