Sony sends PS5 beta invites for Horizon Hunters Gathering test

Sony is distributing invitations in waves to PlayStation 5 beta program members for Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Playtest #2. The invitations are being sent to accounts that registered for the test and accepted players will be notified by email.

Guerrilla, the Dutch studio behind the Horizon franchise, described the rollout on social media and advised registrants to check their inbox, spam and promotions folders. The studio noted invitations will be sent in waves, so some registrants may receive access later than others.

Horizon Hunters Gathering is a cooperative multiplayer spin-off from the main Horizon series. Guerrilla did not provide dates, times or the number of participants in the message.

Some fans have criticized the spin-off. Guerrilla posted: ‘Wake up, Hunters! Invites for Closed Playtest #2 are rolling out! If you signed up, check your inbox, and don’t forget spam or promotions just in case. We’re sending invites in waves, so there’s still time to be called to the hunt.’

Players who registered but do not receive an invite immediately should continue to monitor their email accounts over the coming days.
