Sony offers week-long PS Plus Premium trial to select PS5 users

Sony is sending week-long PS Plus Premium trial codes to select PS5 users via console notifications. Codes must be redeemed by July 5 and appear limited to accounts that never had PS Plus.

Sony is sending voucher codes for a free seven-day PS Plus Premium trial to select PS5 users. Recipients receive the codes through console notifications and must redeem them by July 5.

The distribution appears targeted to PlayStation Network accounts that have never held a PS Plus subscription. The offer is not being issued to all PS5 consoles.

The PS Plus Premium trial unlocks access to an expanded game catalog and higher-tier features for seven days. The short window lets users sample Premium content without an immediate charge.

Players with multiple PlayStation accounts should sign in on each PS5 they use and check console notifications for a voucher. Because the trial lasts only a week, players may want to focus on shorter titles in the Premium catalog.

Redeeming the trial can trigger automatic billing if Auto Renew is enabled. To avoid an unwanted charge, disable Auto Renew immediately after redeeming the code and consider removing stored payment methods while the trial is active. Sony’s policy in comparable cases does not provide refunds for unintended renewals.

Free trials were more common before changes to PS Plus that placed features such as cloud save backups behind the subscription. This week-long, targeted offer provides a limited chance for accounts that have not previously subscribed to try the Premium tier.
