Sony may rebrand Fairgames as Break In ahead of Summer Game Fest

Sony did not include PS5 live-service title Fairgames in its recent State of Play broadcast. Trademark filings and newly created social media accounts linked to the project use the name Break In, indicating a possible rebrand and a potential reveal at Summer Game Fest.

During State of Play Sony published a trailer for Marathon but did not present other live-service projects. The absence of Fairgames from the broadcast leaves the game’s public timetable uncertain.

Haven Studios, the developer tied to Fairgames, ran a recent closed beta test for the title. Industry records indicate the test involved a large number of participants.

Trademark registrations for the Break In name and new social handles connected to the project were filed in recent weeks. Companies commonly register names and create accounts ahead of public announcements.

Summer Game Fest, organized by event producer Geoff Keighley, frequently features live-service and multiplayer announcements. Sony has presented material at Keighley’s events in past years, and Summer Game Fest will include multiple live-service titles on its lineup.
