Sony to Remove PS5 Versions of Toy Story 2 and 3

Sony will remove the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 emulated versions of Disney’s Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 from the PlayStation Store and the PS Plus Premium classics catalog ahead of the titles’ re-releases on October 15, 2025. Sony confirmed both games will be removed from the PS Plus Premium classics offering.

Both games currently appear in the PS Plus Premium classics catalog and are also available for separate purchase on the PlayStation Store. The company’s confirmation covers removal from the Premium classics library; the expected delisting applies specifically to the PS5 and PS4 emulated releases tied to older emulation packages.

Disney is preparing two new releases for October 15, 2025. Toy Story 2 will be included in a package called Toy Story: Retro Roundup, described by Disney as a collection that includes Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999), Toy Story 2 (1999), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000), Toy Story Racer (2001), and A Bug’s Life (1998) as a bonus title. Toy Story 3 will be issued separately as Toy Story 3 Complete Edition.

PlayStation Store customers who access the Toy Story titles through PS Plus Premium or who plan to buy the emulated versions may find those listings unavailable once the delisting takes effect. At the moment both titles remain listed on the PlayStation Store and in the PS Plus Premium classics catalog pending their scheduled removal and the October 15 re-releases. Individual purchase availability may change depending on timing and publisher decisions.

PS Plus Premium offers a selection of older and emulated games from past console generations. When rights holders prepare updated or reissued versions of older games, publishers sometimes remove older emulated releases from subscription catalogs and storefront listings so the new versions can launch without overlap.
