Sony to Remove 1,200+ Webnetic Games From PS Store
Sony will remove about 1,200 Webnetic titles from the PlayStation Store after the publisher said it will stop selling on PlayStation and continue on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
Sony is removing about 1,200 games published by Webnetic from the PlayStation Store after the publisher announced it will withdraw its catalog from PlayStation.
Webnetic posted that its titles “will not be available on PlayStation in the coming days” and that it will be “continuing business on other digital stores.”
The delistings will affect both PS5 and PS4 storefronts. Webnetic did not provide a timetable for the removals. Searches on the store still return many Webnetic listings, but the publisher’s notice indicates the pullback could occur within days.
Webnetic did not specify whether players who previously purchased games will retain access to those titles, receive refunds, or continue to receive updates and support after the listings are removed.
Industry reports put Webnetic’s PlayStation catalog at roughly 1,200 games, making it one of the largest single publishers on the platform by volume. Examples of titles on the store include The Giraffe G, The Sheep Quiz and Tile Jong.
Sony has removed thousands of low-effort releases from the PlayStation Store in earlier enforcement actions aimed at tightening content standards and improving storefront browsing.
Sony has not issued a public statement clarifying the timing of the removals or the treatment of previously purchased games. Webnetic confirmed it will continue to sell its titles on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
