Sony trademarks PS5 title Break In, registers PlayBreakIn handles

Sony filed trademark applications for a PS5 game called Break In and registered PlayBreakIn handles on Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, X and YouTube; the accounts are empty.

Sony filed trademark applications in the United States and Europe listing a PlayStation 5 title named Break In and classifying the product as ‘video game software.’ The company also registered social media handles using the PlayBreakIn name on Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, X and YouTube. Those accounts contain no posts or media.

The trademark filings include only the game’s name and the software classification; they do not identify a developer, genre, release date, platform exclusivity or distribution model.

The filings and the social handle registrations appeared in the weeks ahead of Sony’s State of Play broadcast scheduled for June 2.

Closed beta materials for a separate live-service game used ‘Break In’ to describe a phase of play linked to heist mechanics. Live-service titles commonly use Play[GameName] handles for official channels.

Sony has not issued a statement about Break In. The trademark records and the empty PlayBreakIn pages are the current public information.

Further confirmation would come from official company announcements or visible updates to the registered social accounts.
