SpeedRunners 2 lands on PS5 PlayStation Store

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed arrived on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5 with a $14.99 price. Fair Play Labs developed the sequel and tinyBuild published it. Versions for Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC launched the same day.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can buy the title at a 20% discount. PlayStation Plus Premium and Xbox users have access to a one-hour trial. On PC the game is listed on Steam for $9.99 with a limited 10% launch discount. The title is also available through Xbox Game Pass.

The sequel adapts the parkour-style racing of the original for current consoles. Online matches support up to eight players and the single-player campaign includes boss battles and a storyline that expands on the 2010 game’s lore.

Competitive features include 64-player elimination tournaments, multiple multiplayer modes and 16 map layouts with different movement challenges and shortcuts. Players can select from 12 characters and unlock dozens of cosmetic items.

Gameplay centers on building momentum and outmaneuvering opponents using speed boosters, shortcuts and traps placed across maps. Power-ups from the original-fireballs, freeze rays and golden hooks-return alongside new items such as blasters and portable teleporters.

tinyBuild and Fair Play Labs released a launch trailer to coincide with the store arrival. The developers list the game as a multiplayer racer with campaign elements, available now across major consoles and PC.
