Insomniac released a July 2026 PS5 update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 adding two free Peter Parker suits, PSSR 2.0 for PS5 Pro and a Power Saver mode for PS5 consoles.
Insomniac Games released a July 2026 update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PS5 that adds free downloadable content and new system options. The update adds two Peter Parker suits, an enhanced PSSR 2.0 rendering option for PS5 Pro and a Power Saver mode available on both base PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles.
The two new Peter Parker suits are called Fresh Start and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. PSSR 2.0 is an updated state-space rendering option designed for PS5 Pro hardware to change how the game renders visuals on that model. Power Saver mode gives players an option to reduce console power use while playing on either PS5 model. All of these features are delivered at no additional cost through the update.
A separate free Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack is available on the PlayStation Store and requires its own download. That pack includes one Peter suit, one Miles suit, 10 Photo Mode stickers and two Photo Mode frames. Both the update and the suit pack are compatible with the standalone PS5 version of the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is included in the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogs. Sony’s PlayStation Store is running a Summer promotion that discounts the game by 58%, pricing it at $29.39 through August 13. The game’s description notes Peter Parker and Miles Morales face Venom and a new symbiote threat.
The game launched roughly two and a half years ago and continues to receive post-launch updates focused on visual options and platform-specific features. The July 2026 update is available now to all PS5 players.
