Splatoon 3 Version 11.2.0 Lands With Weapon, X Battles Tweaks

Nintendo released Splatoon 3 version 11.2.0 on June 10, 2026, reducing blaster explosion collision, adjusting weapon and special stats, and refining X Battles team division on Switch and Switch 2.

Nintendo released Splatoon 3 version 11.2.0 on June 10, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The patch makes changes to multiplayer balance, special-weapon costs and effects, matchmaking, and how early disconnects are handled.

The update reduces the effective collision size of blaster explosions to a value between the game’s pre-11.0.0 and post-11.0.0 settings, reversing part of the earlier change made in version 11.0.0. The publisher’s patch notes say the tuning aims to soften some of the larger shifts from that release while keeping other adjustments in place.

Several main weapons had specific stat changes. N-ZAP ’85 and N-ZAP ’89 now produce ink splatter closer to the player’s feet. L-3 Nozzlenose variants have shot speed increased by about 5 percent and travel farther. Luna Blaster models and Clash Blaster variants have reduced shot scatter while jumping by roughly 8 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Undercover Brella variants use about 8 percent less ink. The Blaster Custom’s post-fire movement restriction was extended by approximately 1/60th of a second, and Rapid Blaster Pro variants take about one-sixth of a second longer for ink recovery to begin after firing. Heavy Splatling variants have had the radius inked by spray droplets and the impact splatter radius reduced by about 8 percent.

Several special weapons changed in damage, cost or behavior. Trizooka and Inkjet now deal about 30 percent more damage to Big Bubblers from direct hits and explosions. Zipcaster consumes roughly 33 percent less ink while zipping. Booyah Bomb reduces damage taken from splatanas by about 30 percent when the player has armor equipped. The Splattercolor Screen can be placed from a greater distance, and the Crab Tank’s cannon explosion radius was reduced by approximately 14 percent.

The update adjusts point requirements for some specials. Examples include New Squiffer dropping from 190 to 180 points, Snipewriter 5B from 210 to 200, Slosher Deco from 180 to 170, Heavy Edit Splatling Nouveau from 210 to 200, Custom Wellstring V from 200 to 190, .52 Gal rising from 200 to 210, Luna Blaster Neo rising from 190 to 200, Dynamo Roller rising from 200 to 210, Gold Dynamo Roller from 180 to 190, Slosher Order from 210 to 220, and Dread Wringer from 190 to 200.

Match handling was changed so the period that counts a player disconnecting “immediately after the start of a battle” is shorter for Splat Zones, Tower Control, Rainmaker and Clam Blitz. The patch refines the team-division algorithm used in X Battles to reduce the chance that teams end up dominated by weapons with the same preferred engagement range and to apply the range-based grouping more consistently.

The patch notes state the changes follow analysis of battle outcomes over time. The publisher says the next update will focus on further multiplayer balance adjustments.
