SplitGate 2 to Lose Dedicated Servers on Sept. 3, 2026

1047 Games will end active development and shut dedicated servers and matchmaking for SplitGate 2 (Arena Reloaded) on Sept. 3, 2026; the game will remain playable via peer-to-peer.

1047 Games announced it will end active development of SplitGate 2, also known as Arena Reloaded, and shut down dedicated servers and official matchmaking on Sept. 3, 2026. The developer said the game will remain playable through player-hosted peer-to-peer sessions.

SplitGate 2 relaunched as Arena Reloaded in December 2025. That relaunch temporarily increased player activity, but the developer plans to cease live service support less than a year later.

After the dedicated servers are turned off, all matchmaking will rely on peer-to-peer connections hosted by players. Matches can still be created and joined and friends can play together, but server-side features that depend on official infrastructure — including certain forms of stat tracking and trophy validation — may stop working.

When the original SplitGate moved to peer-to-peer hosting, some trophies became unobtainable. Players with remaining trophies or achievement goals are advised to complete them before Sept. 3 if they want to avoid potential loss of access.

1047 Games also outlined a change in studio direction. In a statement the studio wrote, “After ten years of focusing on live service shooters, our focus is changing. What we build next may look very different from what people expect from 1047 Games, but what has not changed is why we are here: we love making games. We have learned a lot over the years, and we will carry those lessons into what we build next.” The company did not specify which genres or platforms it will pursue next and did not provide details on future updates, patches or rollback options after the shutdown.

Players still active in Arena Reloaded have a limited window to finish content tied to official services. 1047 provided a firm shutdown date and a brief statement about the studio’s future, but left several technical and long-term support questions unanswered for the community.
