Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Resonance for Oct. 22, 2026, and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World for Dec. 3, 2026. Kingdom Hearts IV debuted a trailer but has no release window.

Square Enix announced release dates for two PlayStation 5 role-playing games and released a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV during a showcase. Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled for Oct. 22, 2026, and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World for Dec. 3, 2026; Kingdom Hearts IV received a trailer but no release window.

Final Fantasy Resonance is presented in an HD-2D style that updates the series’ pixel-art heritage. Square Enix priced the standard edition at $49.99 and a digital deluxe edition at $59.99. An overview reads: “Return to the pixel‑art world of Final Fantasy, evolved from its classic roots.” It adds players will “travel with companions bound by fate and call on Visions to aid you in battle to uncover the truth behind a force that threatens to bring everything to ruin.”

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World centers on monster collection and development. Square Enix set the standard version price at $59.99 and a digital deluxe edition at $94.99. The game’s overview explains players will befriend monsters from the Dragon Quest series, raise them, synthesize new creatures and pit them against other monsters in battle.

Kingdom Hearts IV was shown in a new trailer that highlights the city of Quadratum and protagonist Sora. The publisher summarized the story direction: “Kingdom Hearts IV follows protagonist Sora and some familiar characters as they journey through the mysterious city of Quadratum,” and added that Sora will “journey to various worlds, where new figures cross his path and new powers awaken in this next chapter.” No release date or wider release window was announced.

Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Kingdom Hearts are ongoing Square Enix franchises. The announced dates apply to PlayStation 5 releases in late 2026; the company did not specify additional platforms for those launch dates.
