Square Enix demos for Elliot and Screamer arrive on Xbox, PC
Square Enix released free demos for The Adventures of Elliot and Screamer on Xbox Series X|S and PC; Elliot’s demo transfers save data to the full game, Screamer’s does not.
Square Enix has released free demos for two upcoming games, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales and the anime-style racer Screamer. Both demos are available now on Xbox Series X, Series S and PC through the Microsoft Store.
The Elliot demo serves as a prologue and provides the opening chapter of the action-RPG. Players can progress through the main quest, explore the game’s world of Philabieldia, and collect weapons and magicite. The demo supports save transfer, allowing players to carry their progress into the full game, which is scheduled to reach Xbox platforms in June.
Screamer’s demo covers early events of the in-game Tournament and lets players race on the Neo Rey track in single and team modes. The demo includes elements of the game’s Echo System and uses a drifting control scheme that employs both analog sticks. Only a subset of modes, characters and tracks are playable in the demo, and demo save data cannot be transferred to the retail version.
Both demos are listed on the Microsoft Store and are free to download for Xbox Series X|S and PC users. Recent additions to the store include demos for Bubsy 4D (April 22), FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH (April 28), Gladio Mori (April 28), Into the Slimy Mines (May 13), Hyperwired (May 15) and Rune Dice (May 19).
Players who want to try either game can download the demos now from the Microsoft Store on Xbox Series X|S or PC.
