Square Enix Releases Prologue Demo for The Adventures of Elliot

Square Enix released a free Prologue Demo for The Adventures of Elliot on Switch 2 and other platforms; progress transfers to the full game, due June 18, 2026.

Square Enix has released a free Prologue Demo for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales on Switch 2 and multiple other platforms. The demo includes the opening chapter and allows players to transfer save data to the full release, which is scheduled for June 18, 2026. The demo is available to download from participating digital storefronts.

Players can advance the main quest, explore the starting region of Philabieldia, and collect weapons and magicite in the demo. Progress made in the prologue will carry over when the full game launches.

The Adventures of Elliot uses HD-2D visuals with action-adventure mechanics. The game features real-time, action-based combat supported by strategic abilities from a fairy companion. Square Enix describes the combat as intuitive and designed to reward tactical play.

In its announcement, Square Enix wrote: “Carry your save data over to the full version of the game in this new prologue demo!” The publisher also noted the prologue offers the same freedom of exploration found in the full title.

The game is developed by the team behind Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default and pairs the studio’s visual style with more active combat. Square Enix did not list all supported platforms beyond Switch 2 in the announcement.
