Star Fox Switch 2 physical pre-orders $50 at Walmart, Amazon

Walmart and Amazon in the U.S. are listing physical pre-orders for Star Fox on Switch 2 at $50, down from the standard $60 and matching the Nintendo eShop. The game is scheduled to launch worldwide on June 25, 2026.

Both retailers are offering the boxed edition for $50. Nintendo has not announced any U.S. pre-order bonuses. Retail listings show the price but do not list retailer-specific extras, special editions, shipping, or pickup options.

Nintendo describes the new Star Fox as a modernized take on the 1997 Nintendo 64 title. Players will return as Fox McCloud and his team to defend the Lylat System from the villain Andross.

The game includes a single-player campaign and separate challenge modes. Online multiplayer will support up to eight players. The title will support Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and include GameChat and GameShare features for online play and community sharing.

Digital and physical editions will be available at launch worldwide. The $50 physical pre-order price at Walmart and Amazon matches the eShop listing for U.S. buyers.

Star Fox first appeared on the Super Nintendo and reached wider recognition with the 1997 N64 entry. The franchise has released multiple sequels and spin-offs across Nintendo platforms.
