Star Ocean: The Divine Force 65% off on PS Store

Star Ocean: The Divine Force, released in 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, is available on the PlayStation Store for $20.99 through August 27 after a 65% discount.

The discount covers the standard edition, which typically sells for $59.99. The purchase includes cross-buy access, providing the game on both PS5 and PS4. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can stream the title from the cloud.

A Digital Deluxe Edition upgrade is offered for $6.99, reduced from $19.99. The deluxe content requires a separate purchase from the standard edition and reflects the same 65% reduction.

The game was developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix. It is the sixth mainline entry in the Star Ocean series, which began in 1996. The narrative follows dual protagonists Raymond, captain of the space trading ship Ydas, and Laeticia, a princess-knight on an underdeveloped planet.

An official overview reads: “Star Ocean: The Divine Force will transport players to an expansive sci-fi fantasy world and take them on an exhilarating journey with fast-paced action combat, rich exploration, and an original story.” The overview notes the dual protagonists offer different story perspectives and gameplay experiences.
