Starsand Island launches on PS5 with PS Plus discount

Starsand Island launched on PS5 and is listed on the PlayStation Store with a 20% launch discount for PlayStation Plus members. The PS5 edition is $31.99 through Sept. 14; its regular PS5 price is $39.99. The discount is available to subscribers at all PlayStation Plus tiers.

The game was developed by Seed Sparkle Lab and previously released on Xbox and PC. The store announcement did not include details about PS5-specific performance or features.

A Deluxe Edition is on sale for PS Plus members at an 18% discount, reduced to $49.19 from $59.99. That edition bundles the base game with a Classical Furniture pack and an Outfit & Vehicle DLC.

Starsand Island is a life-simulation adventure set on a coastal retreat. Players can farm, fish, raise animals and explore locations including a Moonlit Forest. The game’s overview includes the line “Build the island life you’ve always dreamed of.” The title features interactions with capybaras, cats and dogs and supports open-ended, relaxed play.

A launch trailer for the PS5 release is available on the game’s store page and official channels. The PlayStation Store discount window closes on Sept. 14, after which the PS5 version will return to its standard price.

The PS5 release follows other indie life-simulation titles that expanded from PC and Xbox to PlayStation, giving PlayStation owners access to Starsand Island’s island-setting gameplay and the limited-time PS Plus pricing.
