Stellar Blade dev says ‘nothing is impossible’ for Xbox

SHIFT UP told fans ‘nothing is impossible’ and ‘we just need time’ about an Xbox port but cannot comment until an official announcement. Stellar Blade is on PS5 and PC; Switch 2 edition is due later this year.

SHIFT UP, developer and publisher of Stellar Blade, responded to fan messages on social media with the phrases ‘nothing is impossible’ and ‘we just need time’ when asked about an Xbox port. In a separate reply the studio said it ‘can’t say anything’ until an official announcement is made.

The replies came after two recent platform updates. The studio revealed a sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, during a State of Play presentation last week. At Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct the original Stellar Blade was confirmed for Nintendo’s Switch 2, while no Xbox version was announced.

The lack of an Xbox listing prompted many Xbox players to contact the studio about a potential port of the original game and whether the sequel will appear on multiple platforms.

Stellar Blade is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC. The Switch 2 release of the original title is scheduled for later this year. SHIFT UP has previously indicated the sequel might be multiplatform but has not confirmed platforms beyond the State of Play reveal.

SHIFT UP has not issued a formal statement confirming an Xbox port for either the original game or the sequel. The studio did not provide a timeline or further details in its social media replies.
