Stellar Blade coming to Switch 2 in 2026 with Joy-Con

Nintendo revealed that Shift Up’s action-adventure Stellar Blade will release on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The company announced the port during a Nintendo Direct presentation and confirmed the game will support Joy-Con motion controls.
Shift Up developed the game and Sony published the PS5 version in 2024. In Stellar Blade, players control EVE, an elite warrior sent to reclaim Earth from mysterious forces. The game features cinematic storytelling, real-time combat, character progression with customizable skills and gear, and large boss encounters.
The Switch 2 version will add Joy-Con motion support for activities outside combat, the announcement noted. Nintendo and Shift Up did not provide a precise release date, technical specifications or platform-specific details.
The PS5 release has a Metascore of 81. At launch, players and commentators discussed the game’s combat systems and its character designs; some noted revealing outfits.
No information has been released about pricing, pre-orders or whether a physical edition will be available for Switch 2. Shift Up and Nintendo have not announced whether the Switch 2 version will differ in technical performance or content from the PS5 release.
