Street Fighter 6 adds Avatar Arcade, matchmaking, Battle Tour

Capcom will add Random Avatar Matches, Avatar Arcade and Battle Tour to Street Fighter 6 on May 28 and introduce Ingrid; avatars can earn points and unlock outfits online.

Capcom announced a free update for Street Fighter 6 that will arrive on May 28. The update adds Random Avatar Matches, Avatar Arcade and Battle Tour, and introduces playable character Ingrid.

Avatars are player-created characters that can learn moves from the game’s masters, be equipped with clothing and accessories, and compete in the Battle Hub. Random Avatar Matches let players match directly against other avatars with combat statistics normalized so competitors meet on equal footing.

Wins in Random Avatar Matches award Avatar Points. Players can spend Avatar Points to unlock accessories and to track avatar rankings tied to online play.

Avatar Arcade is a single-player mode in which avatars face the game’s masters to earn bond points. Those bond points accelerate progression to Outfit 2 for the masters, allowing players to obtain alternate costumes through gameplay.

Battle Tour is an arcade-style ladder that puts avatars against World Tour NPCs and masters. Advancing through Battle Tour unlocks legacy Street Fighter endings and additional in-game content tied to the series’ storylines.

All new avatar features and Ingrid are included in the free update. Capcom has set avatar statistics to maximum in Random Avatar Matches so matches focus on player skill and avatar customization rather than raw stat differences.

The update expands single-player options inside World Tour by providing structured ways to develop avatars and earn rewards, while adding new player-versus-player and player-versus-environment routes without additional purchase.
