Sucker Punch ends major updates for Ghost of Yotei Legends - ps5.news

Sucker Punch confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that the Raid will be the last major update for Ghost of Yotei Legends; players reacted with disappointment after a short update window.

Sucker Punch Productions confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that the Raid update, released in April, will be the last major planned update for Ghost of Yotei Legends. The studio wrote that the Raid “finishes the story of the Yotei Six in that mode” and thanked players for continuing to play. The announcement did not promise further major content for Legends.

Legends launched as free downloadable content in March, and the Raid followed in April. The studio’s post did not provide a timeline for future support and gave no details about smaller patches, balance adjustments, paid content, or other multiplayer experiments beyond calling the Raid the final major planned update.

Players posted reactions on social channels and forums after the announcement. One player wrote, “It’s really disappointing to see that, many people were expecting more content for Legends, but it seems our hopes are shattered.” Another commented, “This is really disappointing.” A different user wrote, “We waited so long for new Legends, and after a short time, it becomes repetitive. Really poor move to not add more survival maps or 120 gear.” A further post read, “Wow, looks like we are the ones that got sucker punched.”

The developer framed the update as a conclusion to the Ghost of Yotei Legends storyline rather than a pause in support. The PlayStation Blog post did not list reasons beyond closing the Yotei Six arc, and Sucker Punch has not announced new multiplayer content or plans to resume major expansions for Legends since the statement.
