Summer Game Fest 2026: dates, start times and how to watch

Summer Game Fest 2026 will take place June 5–8, with the opening showcase on June 5 at 2 p.m. Pacific / 5 p.m. Eastern / 10 p.m. British Summer Time / 11 p.m. Central European Summer Time. The opening showcase will stream for free on The Game Awards’ official YouTube and Twitch channels.

The opening showcase will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and is expected to run about two hours. In-person tickets for the Dolby Theatre performance go on sale May 8 at 9 a.m. PT.

Regional start times for North American viewers are 2 p.m. PDT, 3 p.m. MDT, 4 p.m. CDT and 5 p.m. EDT. Viewers in the U.K. should tune in at 10 p.m. BST. European viewers can watch at 11 p.m. CEST or midnight EEST. In Japan the start time is 6 a.m. on June 6; in Australia times range from early morning to midmorning on June 6 depending on the local zone.

Other livestreams scheduled during the SGF weekend include the Access-Ability Summer Showcase on June 5 at 4 p.m. BST (11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT) and the Day of the Devs — SGF Edition, which typically follows the opening showcase and has not published an exact start time. On June 6 Wholesome Direct is set for 5 p.m. BST (12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT) and the Future Games Show — Summer Showcase for 8 p.m. BST (3 p.m. ET / noon PT). The Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled for June 7 at 6 p.m. BST (1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT). The PC Gaming Show will take place June 7 with times to be announced, and The Game Business — Live is planned for June 8 with timing to be confirmed.

All Summer Game Fest presentations will be available to watch online at no charge. The main broadcasts will appear on The Game Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels. Individual showcases generally stream on their organizers’ channels; organizers advise checking official channels for direct links and any updates to schedules.

Organizers have not released a full list of participating developers or confirmed specific games. Historically, the opening showcase contains major announcements while third-party streams and indie showcases fill out the weekend. Organizers will update the schedule and participant lists as developers confirm appearances.

Summer Game Fest was launched in 2020 and is produced and hosted by Geoff Keighley. The event is separate from The Game Awards and focuses on game announcements and presentations rather than awards.
