Switch 2 Users See Error 2800-1230 When Using Super Animal Royale
Some Switch 2 owners report Error 2800-1230 (“The page could not be displayed”) when opening YouTube through Super Animal Royale’s in-game browser.
Players on the Switch 2 who used Super Animal Royale’s in-game web view to open YouTube now encounter Error 2800-1230. The on-screen message reads “The page could not be displayed.” Reporters who tested the same in-game path encountered the error as well.
Earlier this week some players found that the game’s news feed web view could load YouTube on the new hardware. The shortcut worked for a short period for some users before attempts to access YouTube through that path began returning the 2800-1230 error.
Nintendo and Super Animal Royale’s developer and publisher have not issued a comment about the change. No technical detail has been provided about whether the restriction was applied by Nintendo, by the game’s team, or by the online service provider.
YouTube has previously indicated plans to offer an official app for the Switch 2. Team YouTube posted: “While YouTube is still unavailable on the Nintendo Switch 2, we’re hoping to be offering it soon.” Until that app is released, there is no officially supported method to run YouTube on the console.
The blocked in-game route affects only the specific web view inside Super Animal Royale and does not represent an official YouTube release for the Switch 2. Players who relied on the shortcut will need to wait for an official app or another sanctioned option to become available.
