Switch 2 Summer Lineup: Final Fantasy VII, Star Fox, Splatoon
Nintendo’s Switch 2 will get Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on June 3, The Adventures of Elliot on June 18, a Star Fox remake on June 23 and Splatoon Raiders on July 23.
Nintendo’s early summer release schedule for its Switch platforms lists multiple high-profile games across June and July 2026. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth arrives for Switch 2 on June 3, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales on June 18, a Star Fox remake on June 23 and Splatoon Raiders on July 23. Rhythm Heaven Groove for the original Switch is due July 2.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is developed and published by Square Enix and will be available on Switch 2 and Xbox on June 3, following its initial PlayStation 5 release in 2024. The game continues the remake of the 1997 title, following Cloud and his companions as they leave Midgar and progress toward the Forgotten Capital. Physical copies will be distributed as Game-Key Cards.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales arrives on Switch 2 on June 18. The action RPG uses HD-2D visuals and presents a top-down action-adventure structure spanning four ages. A playable demo is available on the Nintendo eShop. Physical copies will be issued as Game-Key Cards. The project is from the team behind Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default.
Nintendo’s Star Fox remake for Switch 2 launches on June 23. The remake preserves the level layouts from Star Fox 64 while updating visuals for current hardware. The release includes adjustable difficulty settings and new gameplay modes. The title returns players to the Lylat system to confront Andross and pilots Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team.
Rhythm Heaven Groove, released as Rhythm Heaven Paradise in Europe, reaches the original Switch on July 2. The game features timing-based minigames and new music, including tracks contributed by Japanese musician Tsunku. Nintendo has listed it among the remaining first-party releases scheduled for the original Switch.
Splatoon Raiders, a single-player-focused entry in the Splatoon series, is scheduled for Switch 2 on July 23. Players control a mechanic allied with the musical trio Deep Cut and explore the Spirhalite Islands. The game supports character and equipment customization, deployable mechanical gadgets, ink-based weapons and combat against waves of Salmonids while searching for treasure. Nintendo plans to launch Raiders alongside a set of Deep Cut amiibo.
Beyond these headline titles, Nintendo and third-party publishers have additional retail and digital releases planned for both Switch 1 and Switch 2 across June and July. Retailers are offering Switch accessories, buyer’s guides and options to purchase eShop credit for consumers preparing for the new releases.
The release schedule spans both Switch generations and delivers content for single-player and multiplayer-focused experiences across June and July 2026.
