Tales of Eternia Remastered launches Oct. 16, 2026

Bandai Namco and TOSE will release Tales of Eternia Remastered worldwide on Oct. 16, 2026 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (both models) and PC.

Bandai Namco and developer TOSE announced that Tales of Eternia Remastered will launch worldwide on October 16, 2026 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (both hardware versions) and PC. A digital deluxe edition will be available at launch and includes a digital art book, the game soundtrack and downloadable content.

The remaster adds quality-of-life options and presentation choices. Players can use destination markers for navigation, turn off random enemy encounters and enable an auto-mode that automates battle inputs. Graphics and audio have been updated, and the game includes a toggle to switch between the rebuilt presentation and the original retro look and sound.

The release will appear across current and previous generation consoles as well as PC and both Switch hardware iterations. The digital deluxe edition packages extra digital items, while details about the included downloadable content have not been specified.

Tales of Eternia originally launched in Japan in 2000 and received an English release in 2001 for the PlayStation. A port for the PlayStation Portable followed in 2006. The remaster preserves the original story and characters while adding the described convenience and audiovisual updates.

The game’s official description reads: “In the remote Inferian village of Rasheans, Reid Hershel and his childhood friend Farah Oersted meet a mysterious girl named Meredy. During their journey to discover Meredy’s origins, the group discovers that a collision called the ‘Great Fall’ threatens both Inferia and Celesita.”

Bandai Namco and TOSE have not yet released full technical specifications or platform-specific performance details. Additional information on system requirements and the downloadable content is expected closer to the October launch.
