The Talos Principle 2 $8.99 on PS Store through May 28

The Talos Principle 2, developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, is discounted to $8.99 on the PlayStation Store through Thursday, May 28. The offer applies to the PS5 digital edition and reduces the usual $29.99 price by 70 percent.

Players can purchase and download the title directly from the PlayStation Store. The game is single-player and does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription. PlayStation Plus Premium members can access the game via cloud streaming without a full download. The current price is the lowest the title has reached on the PlayStation Store.

Released in 2023, the game is a first-person puzzle adventure that combines environmental puzzle mechanics with a narrative that raises questions about consciousness and identity. The gameplay includes exploration of a large megastructure and interactions with robotic characters.

Devolver Digital described the game as “a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game’s philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges,” and added that players are “born into a new world where biological humanity is extinct, but human culture lives on in a city of robots” and will explore “a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers.”

Croteam and Devolver Digital confirmed a third and final entry in the Talos series, scheduled for release on PS5 in 2027.

The sale is limited to the PlayStation Store and ends May 28. The discount covers the PS5 digital edition only; there are no changes to the game’s content or platform availability as part of the price reduction.
