Tekken (1994) returns to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2

Bandai Namco’s 1994 fighting game Tekken arrives in Hamster’s Arcade Archives 2 on June 25, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 at $16.99.

Hamster Corporation announced that Arcade Archives 2 will include Tekken (1994) as a digital release on June 25, 2026. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 for $16.99.

The release will offer two play modes. Original Mode recreates the original game while adding adjustable difficulty, display options, button remapping and other modern settings. Time Attack Mode focuses on speed runs and lets players compete on time-based challenges.

Hamster develops the Arcade Archives series to reproduce classic arcade and console titles using preservation-focused emulation and to provide optional modern enhancements for current hardware.

Tekken first appeared in arcades and on the original PlayStation in 1994. Developed and published by Namco, the game was designed by Seiichi Ishii, who had worked on Virtua Fighter at Sega. Tekken introduced three-dimensional combat and a character roster that became central to the franchise.

The digital release will appear on console storefronts on June 25, 2026, at a price of $16.99. Hamster’s Arcade Archives line has previously reissued multiple retro games for modern systems.
