Tekken 8 adds Baki Villain Yujiro Hanma as Season 3 guest

Yujiro Hanma from Baki the Grappler will join Tekken 8 as a surprise Season 3 guest fighter, arriving in early 2027.
Tekken 8 developer Bandai Namco revealed that Yujiro Hanma, a central antagonist from the manga and anime Baki the Grappler, will join the game as a guest fighter in Season 3. The character is scheduled to arrive in early 2027.
Yujiro is portrayed in the Baki series as the father of protagonist Baki and is often presented as the story’s final boss. The franchise began in 1991 and has been adapted into multiple manga and anime runs.
Yujiro will be the last announced character in Season 3. The season’s roster also includes Kunimitsu, which releases May 27, Bob, slated for a summer release, and Roger Jr., expected in the autumn. A guest character from Final Fantasy 16 joined Tekken 8 in Season 1.
Bandai Namco has not released details about Yujiro’s in-game model, animations or move set. Observers have noted differences between Baki’s distinct art style and Tekken 8’s visual design, and the developer has not yet shown how the character’s size and signature attacks will be represented.
Reaction from some fans and commentators highlighted the unexpected nature of the pick. Robert Ramsey, an assistant editor, wrote, ‘Did you ever even dream that Yujiro Hanma would walk menacingly into Tekken 8?’ He described Baki’s art direction as striking and called Yujiro a “crazy choice” for a guest character.
Bandai Namco is expected to share gameplay footage and technical details as Season 3’s rollout continues.
