Tetris: The Grand Master 4 Lands on Switch June 4

Tetris: The Grand Master 4 – Absolute Eye arrives on Nintendo Switch June 4, 2026, with adjusted MASTER and SHIRANUI difficulties, a 16MB replay cap and single USB keyboard support.

Publisher Arika will release Tetris: The Grand Master 4 – Absolute Eye on Nintendo Switch on June 4, 2026. The Switch port follows the game’s 2025 Steam release and includes gameplay and system adjustments.

Arika announced changes to both MASTER and SHIRANUI difficulty settings and updated some in-game title names to reflect those changes. The developer removed CPU Level 0, which had been selectable in the Steam version’s SHIRANUI mode. Arika stated these updates were implemented in accordance with AI learning policy guidelines.

Replay storage on the Switch is limited to roughly 16 megabytes. Arika estimates that capacity will hold several hundred replays depending on the mode played. Players can delete saved replays from the in-game menu, and the software will display a message when replay storage reaches its limit.

Hardware support differs from the Steam release. The Switch port accepts a single USB keyboard connection type, while the Steam version supported up to six connection types. Arika describes the core gameplay experience as the same across platforms aside from those differences.

The Switch edition includes Normal and Marathon modes and series-specific modes such as Asuka mode, which increases Tetromino drop speed, and Konoha mode, which uses larger pieces. The game will cost JPY 2,800 in Japan; Western pricing has not been confirmed.

Tetris: The Grand Master originated in Japanese arcades in 1998, with subsequent numbered releases in 2000 and 2005. The fourth numbered entry arrives roughly 20 years after the third.
