The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu launches on PS5 Store

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, developed by ACE Team and published by Nacon, launched on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5 today. The standard edition is priced at $29.99 and a Deluxe Edition is available for $39.99.

The game supports four-player cooperative play. Small teams venture into a hostile jungle to search for treasure while facing monsters inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. The digital release is the title’s first appearance on consoles and is available now through the PS5 storefront.

The publisher highlights a madness system that alters player perception. The game’s official description reads: “Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s oppressive atmospheres, the game features a deep madness system that makes the cursed jungle play with your perception. Unpredictable threats distort your senses, blur the line between reality and illusion, and sow paranoia within your group.”

Gameplay begins aboard a galleon where players sign contracts with a captain to receive gear in exchange for recovered treasures. Teams choose which jungle area to explore, weigh rewards against risk, and face greater dangers the farther they go.

The title emphasizes cooperation and resource management. Players must share weapons and equipment, coordinate loadouts, and manage their party’s sanity while contending with threats that can change how the environment and enemies appear.

The Deluxe Edition adds in-game cosmetics and an extra mission. Both editions are available digitally on the PlayStation Store for PS5 and can be purchased and downloaded through the console’s storefront.
