The Pathless on PS Store for $9.99 until Oct. 8
The Pathless, a 2020 PS5/PS4 adventure by Giant Squid, is on sale for $9.99 on the PlayStation Store through Oct. 8, down from $39.99; purchase includes both versions.
The Pathless, developed by Giant Squid and published by Annapurna Interactive, is on sale on the PlayStation Store for $9.99 through Oct. 8 as part of Sony’s Autumn Adventures promotion. The price will return to $39.99 after the promotion ends. The purchase is a cross-buy, granting access to both PS5 and PS4 versions, and the discount applies to digital purchases through Sony’s storefront.
Released in 2020, The Pathless is a single-player adventure with a soundtrack by composer Austin Wintory. Players control an archer who travels to a mysterious island to lift a spreading curse of darkness.
The official PlayStation description reads: “Forge a connection with your eagle companion and soar through the air.” It notes open environments including misty forests, lush meadows and snowy tundras, along with puzzles in ancient ruins and a hidden island history to uncover.
The game does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription to play. PlayStation Plus Premium members can stream the title via cloud on PS5 or through the PlayStation Portal. At release, critics highlighted the game’s atmosphere, movement mechanics and musical score.
