The Planet Crafter launches on PS5 today

Miju Games’ sci-fi survival game The Planet Crafter is available on the PS5 PlayStation Store today. The standard edition is priced at $23.99, with PlayStation Plus members eligible for a 10% discount at $21.59. A Deluxe Edition that bundles both downloadable content packs is listed at $37.99.

The title, first released in 2024, offers terraforming and survival gameplay. Players land on a hostile planet and must gather resources, build a base, craft tools and machines, and generate heat and an oxygen-rich atmosphere to make the world habitable.

Gameplay centers on resource collection and construction to power infrastructure and change the planet’s environment through geo-engineering actions. Exploration includes investigating shipwrecks and ancient ruins that contain materials and story elements.

The Planet Crafter supports cooperative play for up to 10 players, allowing groups to work on large-scale terraforming and base building. Progression depends on collecting minerals and components needed to build and maintain systems.

The PS5 release is distributed digitally through the PlayStation Store and is available for purchase immediately on the console’s storefront.

The game’s official description reads: “You are sent on a hostile planet with one mission: Make it habitable for Humans. You’ll have to survive, collect resources, build your base, produce machines to heat the planet, create an oxygen-rich atmosphere and eventually geo-engineer an entire planet! Gather minerals and resources to survive. Craft all the tools you need to fulfill your mission. Explore old shipwrecks and ruins and discover a planet full of mysteries.”

Miju Games released the game in 2024 on other platforms; today’s PlayStation release makes the title available to PS5 owners.
