The Talos Principle 3 announced for PS5, due 2027

Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital announced The Talos Principle 3 for PlayStation 5 will be the final entry in the puzzle-adventure series. The studio described the new game as the franchise’s “grand finale” and confirmed a 2027 release year; a specific release date will be shared later.

The Talos Principle 3 continues the series’ emphasis on single-player puzzle exploration and follows a 2023 PS5 entry. The announcement lists PlayStation 5 as the confirmed platform; no other systems were named.

An official overview describes the game’s setting as the Anomaly: “As if awakening from a troubled sleep, you find yourself in a strange, contradictory world of crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts: the Anomaly, the only place in the universe where the laws of physics don’t work as they should.” It adds: “Your memories are fragmented, but you know you came here for a reason. Tasked with solving a series of increasingly complex puzzles, you will relive your life as an explorer, and with it, the history of the world that humanity built.”

Croteam and Devolver released a short teaser alongside the announcement. That teaser is the only footage available so far; many players have responded positively to the reveal. Croteam has not outlined post-release plans or whether the team will return to the same setting after the finale.

Previous entries in the Talos Principle series received praise for puzzle design and for combining narrative and philosophical themes with environmental puzzles. Devolver and Croteam plan to announce the specific 2027 release date at a later time.
