Tomb Raider: Catalyst delayed to 2028; disc release at risk

Amazon Games chief Jeffrey Gattis told The Game Business Show that Tomb Raider: Catalyst is expected to arrive in 2028. If Catalyst misses Sony’s manufacturing cutoff for PS5 discs, a boxed release would be unlikely. Details about Catalyst remain limited. An official description says the game is “set in the wake of a mythical cataclysm that has unleashed ancient secrets and awakened mysterious guardian forces” and follows Lara Croft on a new adventure across Northern India.

There has been no formal release schedule published by the game’s developer or publisher confirming the 2028 timing or platform plans beyond PlayStation 5. Legacy of Atlantis’ revised date was presented during PlayStation’s State of Play in June 2026 after an earlier quiet delay.
