Tomb Raider I-III remasters add 60 FPS and brightness slider
Aspyr’s PS5 update for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered adds a brightness slider, 60 FPS in Classic Graphics Mode on console and brighter pickup highlights, plus bug and stability fixes.
Aspyr released an update for the PS5 version of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered that adds a brightness slider, enables 60 frames per second in Classic Graphics Mode on console, and increases pickup highlight visibility in HD Graphics Mode. The patch also includes a range of bug fixes and stability improvements across all three games.
The remastered collection launched in 2024 on PlayStation 5 and other platforms. At release, Classic Graphics Mode on consoles was limited to 30 frames per second, and players and reviewers reported performance issues and uneven frame pacing on PC.
The brightness slider lets players adjust lighting in any level across the three titles and is noted to work best in HD Graphics Mode. Key items Lara can pick up now appear brighter in HD Graphics Mode to improve visibility. Framerate in Classic Graphics Mode on PS5 has been raised from 30 fps to 60 fps.
The update addresses multiple gameplay and presentation issues. Changes cover Challenge Mode, trophy tracking, character models, weapon usage and visual effects. Additional corrections address localization errors, mission-related glitches, in-game text discrepancies and overall stability and performance.
PC players previously reported uneven frame pacing and criticism of the alternative modern control scheme. Patch notes indicate ongoing work to refine controls and performance across platforms and confirm development of a forthcoming Patch 4 to address remaining issues.
Two new AAA Tomb Raider titles are in development for consoles. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has been delayed into next year, and Tomb Raider: Catalyst has been moved to 2028.
